Zambrero is Australia’s largest Mexican food franchise with a focus on providing fresh, healthy, tasty Mexican food. By joining Zambrero, you are not only becoming part of Australia’s largest Mexican food franchise, but you are also joining a brand who are actively championing their aim to put an end to world hunger.
To support what they believe in, Zambrero has created the unique plate 4 plate initiative. For every burrito or bowl that is bought, a meal is donated to someone in need in the developing world.
Our menu is focused on modern, superfood ingredients with specialty hand-crafted sauces and all our meats are slow cooked using the sous-vide method of cooking. Freshly made, the food at Zambrero is highly customisable.
We call it our PLATE 4 PLATE initiative.
We genuinely believe we can put an end to world hunger, one plate at a time. It is why for every burrito or bowl you eat in one of our restaurants, one meal goes to someone in need. Thanks to our customers and franchise partners we have donated over 29 million meals… and counting with the aim of reaching 1 billion meals by 2025.

About Zambrero
Zambrero is Mexican with a Mission. Started in Canberra, Australia in 2005 by Dr Sam Prince, Zambrero quickly grew to be Australia’s largest Mexican restaurant franchise and we now have restaurants in New Zealand, Ireland and America. We will continue to expand our existing territories and set out to mirror our success in the US market.
It’s easy to work out what we do and how we do it. We make Mexican food; burritos, bowls, nachos, tacos and salsa. We use fresh healthy ingredients that will leave you satisfied.
What’s more important is why we do it. We don’t believe that anyone in this world should go hungry.
We have found a vehicle (which just so happens to be Mexican food) through which we can empower a social movement dedicated to the provision of food for those in need.
Our vision through our Plate 4 Plate initiative is to donate 1 billion meals by 2025 with the help of our customers and Franchise Partners. We believe that together we can make a difference.

Marketing Support
You will have access to a full service, integrated marketing team based in Sydney providing ongoing support on a national, regional and local level.
You will receive: Overarching brand strategies National marketing strategy, plans and campaigns Regional marketing strategy and local area marketing support All things brand, including creative supply and internal graphic designers All things digital, including website management, SEO, SEM and social media.
Training Provided
You will be supported on every step of your Zambrero journey from your initial enquiry right through to opening your first restaurant.
Our dedicated and passionate Head Office team in Sydney will partner with you, not only in the application process, but also after you have opened your restaurant so that you never feel that you are embarking on your journey with Zambrero alone.
There is also a dedicated support network in WA to assist you on the ground when it matters.
Skill Required
No formal qualifications are required to own a Zambrero restaurant and our franchise partners come from a wide variety of backgrounds and skill sets.
To be a successful Zambrero franchise partner, you need to be committed, enthusiastic, excited by our products and have a strong desire to join the largest Mexican food franchise in Australia. We are looking for people who are positive and want to be part of our business as we continue our growth both nationally and internationally.
